Today is a big day.
When we launched Inner Circle, the goal was simple: create a place where anyone could earn from what they know, and where anyone could access that expertise instantly. We've spent every day since listening to creators, talking to fans, fixing bugs, and building the features people have been asking for.
Today, we're shipping the biggest update yet.
Content is now free to browse. One of the most significant changes is something fans will notice immediately. Until now, most creator content required a subscription before you could see anything. That changes today. Creator posts are now free by default — unless a creator specifically chooses to make something exclusive. Anyone can browse, get a feel for a creator's expertise, and decide whether to subscribe or book a session without making a commitment upfront. We believe creators should be easier to discover, and fans should be able to experience their work before spending a shilling.
If you've previously booked sessions on Inner Circle, nothing changes there. One-on-one bookings work exactly as before.
Creators unlock a new era of earning. Every approved creator has been upgraded to Phase 2, with a full new set of tools to build income beyond individual bookings:
- Subscriptions — your followers can now subscribe to your page for exclusive content, giving you the opportunity to build recurring monthly income alongside your sessions
- Group Rooms — not every conversation needs to happen one-on-one. Pro creators can now host live sessions with up to 50 participants, while Executive creators can welcome up to 100. Workshops, coaching sessions, live Q&As — all possible now, all at once
- Priority Direct Messages — fans can pay to move their message to the front of your inbox. In return, you commit to responding within six hours. A new way to be accessible without being overwhelmed
- Paid Questions — fans pay for a single answered question without scheduling a full session. You have 48 hours to respond. Convenient for both sides, and another income stream that requires no calendar coordination
The numbers so far. Since opening applications, we've received 78 creator applications from across Africa. We've approved 49 creators and experts, all of whom are now live on the platform — sharing their knowledge and earning from their expertise.
Most applications have come from Kenya, but the continent is paying attention:
